This is Ensign's third full length album and honestly it's the first I've ever heard of them. And honestly....well, this album is simply awesome. Prepare to be doused in Ensign's fuel of heart pounding drumbeats, gut-wrenching guitars and burning vocals.
The Price of Progression opens with The Spark. Spurts of gut-wrenching guitars and vocals in the introduction and the tone is set. Ensign blast out their brand of melodic hardcore and thought perovoking lyrics that will challenge you to think, speak and act. Intensity is to an extreme from start to finish....this album does not slow down to catch a single breath. Weak songs are non-existent and standout tracks are hard to find as all songs are equally impressive. But if songs like While the Iron is Hot, Lesser of Two, Foot in Mouth as an Artform (featuring Russ of Good Riddance), 33 1/3 and Cast in Shadows don't get you going I don't what will. This is definately one for fans of hardcore and if you aren't just get into it. "Will you ponder and fall to a system that controls your life. To a government that has no interest in mine.
