until yesterday, I had no idea about this band. But, after witnessing their
amazing live show, I just had to get my hands on this little beauty.
The All City Sharps play a mix of traditional sharp (skin-heads against racial prejudice) and a very new school influenced form of pop-punk. Think something like Dropkick Murphys meeting Game Over at Joey Ramone Place and you've got a reasonably good idea of where they are coming from.
The lyrics are very good and deal (as all good sharp music does) with the issues of being a part of the working class. They also have a very strong emo element to them, it's an interesting blend and a credit to the band that they can pull it off.
In finishing, if you are interested in either pop-punk or sharp, or just punk in general, give this band a look. It's an anthemic take on the somewhat tired pop-punk genre and it fucken rocks. If they are any indication of where sharp is going, the future looks bright.
