With
various influences, Neveready have been compared with bands of the
likes of Blink 182, NOFX and the Vandals. Neveready play a blend
of power pop and personality punk, with a focus on a funny, fast
and energetic show.
This
emphasis on a punter friendly show and an attitude of "not taking
yourself seriously", has contributed to Neveready being very well
received both by the all ages crowd and by the over 18's.
With
a full work sheet for the past six months and solid bookings, Neveready
is continuing to propagate it's personality across the countryside.
The band has been together for around three years with one line
up change recently. During this time the band has played with many
bands such as The Bouncing Souls(US), Diesel Boy(US), Spiderbait,
Primary, The Porkers, Mach Pelican, H Block 101, Segression, Nancy
Vandal, Toe to Toe, Dogbuoy, Quadbox, Downtime, No Idea, The Last
Hemeroids, Topnovil and too many more to mention. With constant
shows in Sydney's leading venues including The Globe and The Iron
Duke and with increasing tours to Melbourne/Canberra and beyond,
the band seems to get around a bit(no pun intended). With a variety
of TV, internet, radio, video, newspaper and street press interviews,
and airplay on independent radio stations and Triple J, Neveready
is ever expanding its views to reach its audience.
Neveready
was internationally recognised for its first EP "Anti This Anti
That" recorded in February 1998, appearing on a UK Punk compilation.
Care Factor Zero Records in Melbourne were quick to pick up Neveready's
first EP for national distribution. Neveready has also been given
the opportunity to appear on "This is Punk O Clock Too" compilation
along with bands such as Mach Pelican and H Block 101. Care Factor
Zero Records released Neveready's E.P. split with Topnovil "4+3=2"
in March 2000. Neveready just submitted tracks for inclusion on
"Salubrious Melodies" Compilation through Blind Records(June 2000).
With
the bands all ages focus, Neveready enjoy the festival atmosphere.
To date they have been included on BLOWOUT 99, LARGERFEST 2000,
PUNK BLENDS 99, H2WHOOOOO YOUTH MUSIC FESTIVAL, PRANKFEST 2000 and
was part of the Sydney, Illawarra and Melbourne launches for "This
is Punk o Clock Too". With a wholesome diet of petrol station food,
Neveready hope to see you at venue near you, remember, please play
and watch us come..... Bye now.
