They Hand Me Downs are a 3 piece punk band from Ballarat, Victoria.

They formed early to mid 2001 due to a previous band the lead singer and guitarist was in, Hendo, broke up so he formed the new band the Hmd's and once started have been playing shows ever since.

The band consists of:
Andrew Henderson - Guitar / Vocals
Cam Harrison - Bass / Vocals
Simon Dower - Drums / General entertainment

The bands main influences are Screeching Weasel and The Ramones and their heavy influences can be seen through the vocals and traditional three chord punk.

In August they entered the Ballarat Battle of the Bands and were placed 2nd and therefore had the opportunity to play in the Final of the BOTB in Castlemaine. Not suprisingly, a Castlemaine band won it.

They recieved the opportunity to record 3 tracks for a demo in June and have put it towards a 4 track demo / EP which is now available for 5 bucks. The last track is a live recording which was recorded in August at the Battle of the Bands. They also were offered the place on a Ballarat compilation with other Ballarat bands Half Left, Naked Ant, Fallen, Blue Rose and punk champs Mr Feenjeen.
