The band formed in March 2001 as a three piece and played two shows with the line up of-

Nathan Crisp - Bass/Really bad vocals
Ben Jones - Drums/ Humor

After playing those gigs, it was decided time to get another guitarist. So then comes Simon... Only problem was, Simon didn't know how to play a guitar... Nor did he have one. Anyways, Simon had been working a fairly highly paid job for a while so he was loaded with cash so he went and bought a guitar and the accessories required. (Amplifier, distortion pedal, leads, etc. After a few quick lessons from Matti, Falling Short played another two gigs with the line up of-

It didn't take too long to realise that Simon was a shit guitarist and also a major arsehole so we kicked him out... His place was then filled by Josh. Josh's ex-band, (Wrekta) broke up because they were shit. There was a band formed with a few members of Wrekta (Tim Wright and Sam Russell) and Nathan and Matti called Ernie Pop. They broke up after two shows cause they were heaps lazy and stuff but this was way before Falling Short formed. Anyway, after Josh joined the band he said he would turn it into a hardcore band. He was kinda right beacause we do play AFI and a bit of Rancid, and some Lars and the Bastards now... but yeah, I'd say we're still more pop punk than anything... Anyway, the line up as is-
