The Rise

Well since I missed the early bus for the first day of school, I thought it would be necessary to pass the little time I have by making a totally radi-licious band listing. I chose to do a band listing on a band that has a hard sound with a talented screamer, but also has an urban rap sounding melody similar to the one forced up our asses by the media each and every day! But that's besides the point. The Rise is a band that sings about anti political issues with their hit song "The Fallacy Of Retro-spective Determinism", but adds in a nice smoooth beat as would be seen in many of our household name rappers today. But, The Rise makes it work. They do not have guitar solos, or 10 minute heart-attack insueing double kick drum interludes. But hey, their slogan is "If we cant all dance, this aint our revolution". Need I say more?

note: the 3rd guy on the left reminds me of my 40 year old neighbor...sadly he died shortly after looking at this site from "sweetness overdose".
