Put the "OI" in stOIcs!Well..maybe not, but they sure have contrributed!These guys are on of my new favourite bands(Oakes). I used to like this band called The Lawrence Arms. They had one singer with a super raspy voice that kicked me in the teeth. But then they had some guy singing that sounded like he got kicked in the nuts, which drove them to their demise, on my terms. The Stoics have a singer that has that sweet raspy voice that i've been lookin' for all these years, and not only one singer...but two!! Who each have the same kind of voice!They ahve two CD's out, unfortunately no vinlys, but the CD's are amaze. Their lyrics are also a main factor in this. Turnpike South, Land of Opportunity(best lyrics), and Occupational Hazards are the best songs, if I have to choose. After their first release, there was news that they broke up...I think they did...but then they got back together and are now on tour...AS we SPEAK! and such. I suggest everyone listen to their music, because it's not SUPER hardcore punk or whatever, but it's a change from what (I) regularly listen to...It's good. I like it.
