Cock Sparrer is a great band to come out of the British Explosion in the 70's. 1974 to be exact. Cock Sparrer got there start performing in local east side pubs and then they eventually made there way up the punk ladder to record 2 full length albums on 12". These guys were all about the rioting, mainly because they were the ones who started the riots at local football (soccer) games. If I were to describe Cock Sparrer, I'd say they are bunch of guys from England that sing about their tough times and the rioting that insued afterwards, all to sweet cockney accents. Along with bands like the Sex Pistols, Infa Riot, Sham 69, and The Clash, these guys cut the ambillical cord on the punk baby. Both of the Cock Sparrer albums are good, but my favorite songs are "Argy Bargy", "Riot Squad", "Droogs Don't Run" and "England Belongs To Me". Like mostly all 70's punk bands, Cock Sparrer split up in 1978, only four short years after forming.
