Black Flag
Ah Black Flag, California punk like it was made to be.  If you have ever seen a tattoo on someone with 4 vertical bars, that is the symbol for Black Flag, and that person is a hardcore Black Flag fanatic.  While Black Flag only lasted a short time, they managed to convert a generation into the punk scene.  The greatest part of Black Flag is the vocals.  Henry Rollins has an incredible voice that is raspier than Louie Armstrong's.  And just freakin look at him, he gets crazy-instense, and he's such a beast. I bet he could shotput the earth into the sun, therefore destroying the whole universe.  Yeah, that's right, one man could destroy the universe.  The drumming will rock you so hard your belly button will turn from an inny into an outty, (and vice versa), while the guitar riffs dig so deep into your body that it will take you months to be completely clean.  The best Black Flag album is definately "Damaged".  It has the best songs and it represents the band during their finest hour.  My favorite Black Flag songs are: Rise Above, TV Party, White Minority, American Waste, Louie Louie and Police Story.  It's a shame but Black Flag is no longer with us.  Along with leg warmers and side ponytails, Black Flag was buried with the dust of the 80's.  But Black Flag's passing isn't completely unfortunate, they helped influence most of the sweetest punk bands out there today! (Hey, they're not that bad)
