Tubes And End Caps:
first of all you are going to have to purchase some minor materials. The first item is the actuall tubes and end caps like in the picture to the right. You can buy them HERE. They are very in expensive. You can buy a whole bunch (24 tubes and 48 end caps) for as little as $5.50.
Visco Fuse:
The Second thing you need to purchase is Visco Fuse, you can purchase that on the same page as the tubes, for also a very low expence. The reason why this site is accurate is because most sites instruct you on makeing your own materials which is very dangerous. And also if you make everything it technically is not an M-80, and probablly wont work quite the same as a REAL M-80. Make sure if you dont buy the visco fuse on the site that I have provided that professional fuse makers have assembled your fuse.
Explosive Powder:
The third thing is your going to need some type
of explosive powder. Most people find this pretty hard to do because you must be an adult to
purchase an explosive powder (Flash Powder,
Black Powder, Gun Powder). But I have found the most successfull powder for the cheapest price. Whistle Mix. All Whistle Mix is, is a whistleing bottle rocket broken in half and all the white powder is collected first, keep the white powder, then comes an orrange red powder that is just clay you can throw the orrange powder away, it will only weeken the firecracker. Then comes the grey powder (Flash Powder). Keep the grey powder. Now you should have two powders. A white powder and greay powder. Becarefull and mix both powders on a sheet of paper and store it safely. It CAN go off with preasure or spark. You can get 1 gross of whistleing bottle rockets almost anyware they are legal, for also a very cheap price depending on the brand. 1 gross can produce approxamately 1 cup of Whistle mix. That would be able to fill 30 M-80's, if they where purchased at the site provided.
Other Things:
White Elmers glue works great. And a knife.
Putting Everything Together:
This is problly the easiest part once you have the powder and the other three items, this step is fun. First take the end cap and glue the sides that have no color. Put it in the the tube. While that is drying, cut a piece of fuse about two inches. After you do that use the knife to make a circular hole. After that insert the fuse so that when you look in the open side of the tube it is about half way down. Then glue around the top where the fuse comes out of the tube. Then put your whistle mix in about filling 75% of the remaining
space. Then take the other end cap and do the same thing you did on the first side. Let it dry and if you did everything like instructed on this site you will have one great fire cracker and it gets even easyer every time. After you get the gross of powder it takes like 3 mins to assemble it and like 20 mins to dry.
If you can come across Black Powder, Flash Powder 30/70, gunpowder anything than can possibly make a bang, then use it! Thats the fun pyrotechnics its all about the experimentation. :)
