This page contains my own reviews of some music.

Red white & blue : Proud to be working class
This is a 7 song demo and it sounds good, nice songs with great sing-along choruses.
Musically I don't know where to place 'em,it's not the pure old Oi! a'la Last resort, but it's good and if you're into Oi! I think you'd like this demo,I know I do at least.
There's one song that gets a bit one-handed,but the rest are good enough to make you forget that one.
For being a new band this lot sounds very good and I'm getting their CD as soon as it's released and since it's being produced right now,I expect it to come soon.

Sniffing Glue/Curb +Ultimate High.
I'll start with Sniffing Glue, they don't play pure punk or anything "easily labelled" some SKA influences a bit of Rock...
No matter what you want to call it,they're VERY good,a bunch of true party music.(I can admit I didn't really like it the first time, but after hearing it a couple of times it grew and now it's great)
Curb plays punk, but they're not really my style....I can't place my finger on what's wrong...but I am kind of equal to it
It might be the modern sound of it,kind of a faster Green Day sound.....
The bonus track by Ultimate High's some form of Rock'n'roll, not bad and not great....listenable....
As far as I'm concerned the 11 tracks of Sniffing Glue makes it worth the 100:- they take for it,all in all there's 21 songs and I think it was 72 minutes long.(one extra hidden...but that's just POP and I'm glad they put it far off in the end....)

Go to Sniffing Glue if you want to order the album.

Greed/Dis-k : split EP.
A split 33 rpm EP.
First I'll start with Dis-k,I wont say too much about 'em since they don't play my kind of music.
They play hardcore, very hardcore in fact and that just about sums things up as far as that side of the EP for my part.
Greed however surprised me a bit, they're playing punk the early 80's style, the first track got me thinking of the "No potential threat" album by "Riot squad".
The rest of the songs are in the same style kind of Riot squad/Exploited and those bands, not a bad effort at all,my only complaint would be the quality of the studio work,it lacks a lot of bass and it sounds as if it would've been recorded "way back when".
But musically I have no complaints and I'm waiting for their new release that's on the way and I wont hesitate to buy that too.

Sundsvall Underground Productions

Nepentes : Krlek
This is a 6 track demo.
Don't know where to place their music,it's punk that's for sure and they are tight and the recording's good as well,no obvious punch-ins (sorry an old musicians habit, but I always get irritated by such things).
A bit like KSMB meets Asta kask and Imperiet,Nizze (the singer) obviously knows the taste of whisky no baby voice (and I like that, never really liked those tender voices).
The first track sounds like KSMB (the Rika barn.. days) but faster.
As you can see I'm confused, but it's good,a bit odd nowadays 'cause they're certainly more inspired of earlier bands (if it would've been the late 70' or early 80's,they would've been just another punkband).

Perkele : Aktion
This is a 5 track demo.
Sounds like early 80's swedish punk, rather noisy early Asta kask kind of punk.
There's not much more I can say about it since it kind of covers it.

Valium's fullength cd Visioner
A fullength CD.
Not as good as Mrkrdd,it's more Dia psalma inspired (faster, but still),but it got a bit better the second time I heard it.
This is not great and not bad,we'll see if it comes around after I've heard it some more times.

Guttersnipe's : 1995.
A fullength CD.
All I actually can say is that this is Oi!
It sounds like Oi!,it smells like Oi! and it looks like Oi!.

Valium : Mrkrdd
A 5 track CD.
I've just bought the cd,and it's not bad at all.if you like the early work of Strebers -and who doesn't- you ought to like this.
The way they treat Vandraren is great (would've liked Nordman if they did it like this).
The title track is one of those songs you all of a sudden realize that you've been humming for the last halfhour.
To hear Valium just makes me happy.
