This is a poem based on my cousin, Crystal.  I love her to death, an hopefully one day I'll see her again...

You shoot up, you get high,
You watch as you life goes by,
You waste your time, your money, life,
You fall pray to all your strife,
You have sex with God knows who,
You think that all normal people do,
And then one day, the scene has changed,
It' time to grow up, for you have aged,
You bring a life into the world,
You don't care if it's a  boy or girl,
You could pay for your dope, or pay for her food,
But you don't wanna change your attitude,
You wanna shoot up, you wanna get high,
You don't care if you, or her, die,
She grows up with her abusive dad,
Her mom's a druggie, and she's getting mad,
But not at you, but at herself,
She wants a family with happiness and health,
She loved you, and wanted the same,
But all you did was bring her pain,
You loved your dope, more than your child,
And she grows up, untamed and wild,
She follows the only path she knows,
The one of living on Skid Row,
And not before her sweet sixteen,
Her vision changes, for now she's seen,
Her life was unwanted, and unfair,
You brought life, but didn't care,
So as you  shot up, and got high,
You brought in a life, and caused it to die.
