| Alright well this ((if you didn't see my website before I redid it)) is where I take an issue I think is important ((or not important and I feel like raving)) and I just voice my opinions on it. | Alright, this is not gonna be about what punk is, it's gonna be about the annoying lil kids that inhabit earth, you may know them as the super dark cult of 13 year olds that are so awesome because they shop at hot topic and call themselves "different." Often times these "punk" children try to claim they come from broken homes, when in reality the "mental beatings" they get ((that Simple Plan helps them get through)) from their parents are groundings because you failed all your classes. Man, your folks just don't understand your cry for help! Soon it'll be too late and you'll result in cutting yourself with the safety pins on your patches just like all your other "suicidal" non-conformist friends. Punk is NOT about wearing Converse, wearing stupid trucker hats, listening to AFI, being angry, wearing pyramid belts, having a mohawk, having spike bracelets, it was a thing of the 80s. One of the things I'm sorta mad about, who knew it would spawn into this. As far as I'm concerned all punk is is music, to claim its a lifestyle is absurd. Now punk is being used as a cash crop by MTV and Hot Topic, isn't that pathetic? No. What is pathetic is that people are eating it up and paying insane amounts of cash for the stupidest things. Those spike bracelets that cost like 4 bucks, the spiked necklaces that cost like 10 bucks, and the pyramid belts that cost.. lord knows how much, would wipe you outta all your money alone. MTV should be gutted like a pig for how much they try to push no-talent bands like Simple Plan and claim that they are punk. And no, I'm not blaming MTV and Hot Topic entirely for the band of 13 year olds that are so-cool-cuz-they-shop-at-hot-topic-and-listen-to-good-charlotte-cuz-they-are-so-punk-rock. Part of the reason its been so widespread is that kids are being targeted and kids ((to me kid goes up to the age of 17)) are complete and utter dumbasses that will do whatever it takes to be cool.? | ||||||||||||
