| The Silver Glen Trilogy is a trilogy about the happenings of an island in the Irish Sea. The land is called 'The Green Island' and it has a Queen called Rosetta, a King called William and a Princess called Annabel. They live in the capital of the Island called 'The Silver Glen'. The first book, named after the capitol, is about Annabel meeting a dangerous multi-coloured dragon that lives in caves on the island and becoming best friends. But after all their hard work, will they finally persuade Annabel's parents to let her keep the dragon, called the hilariously ludicrous name of Fudge? In the second book, 'The Rule of Zani', the evil sorcerer Zani starts terrorising the island and all is in doom. The villagers have plague, and rats crawl through the once-clean cities, tornadoes crash over houses and lightning shoots down. He captures Annabel in his titan form and in exchange for the whole of the island going into his service he agrees not to kill her. And so he captures all the inhabitants of the island and they are forced to do slave labour. Annabel meets a promising young Mage named Jason with a playful manticore and with the help of several of Zani's friendly black dragons tries to escape from Zani's lair in the sky. Unfortunately they are foiled and William stands up against Zani, but in one terrifying moment he turns Annabel's parents to stone. Annabel is devastated. What will happen? Can she ever escape, and free her parents? 'The Emeralds of Life', the third book, is about Annabel's adventures to find the Emeralds of Life which will return her parents back to life. She goes all the way across Green Island, escaping zombies, being saved by a unicorn, and travelling to the highest mountain. But in the end, will she find the Emeralds of Life and save her parents and finally kill Zani, or will the island be destined to a King and Queen made of stone, no sucessor and an even more powerful Zani to destroy them? Only a magical sword can save the island in its darkest hour. But will Annabel realize it before it's too late? |
