La Saunta is a single book, for people who like wildlife and animals. The hero is a teenage fox called Spax, and with the help of his sister, Moonbeam and a feisty young mouse named Buttercup he tries to restore the throne to the rightful fox King, Charles. The story takes place in the large fox Kingdom and things aren't going so well. Charles is too young to be King so Hoppy, a hare and friend of the Royal Family does most of the ruling. Spax's father is a Sergeant, so his family is a rich and respected one, and they know Hoppy and Charles well. So, when a wolf outlaw steals 'La Saunta', the key to the throne, they are naturally devastated. Spax, Moonbeam and Buttercup venture off into the dark forest where the wolves' hideout is placed. But, with crows, rooks, wolves and rats against them, a huge oak lashing out at them and a deadly deed to repay, will they ever manage to survive with the La Saunta? |
