What I know for sure is this. Every one of us is a pumpkin. When we were born we had a design carved into us, or maybe several designs. Our first breaths of air lit the candle we all harbour within, and our light shinned out pure.

These shapes represent what our true calling are. I believe that the largest design my pumpkin bears is a writing hand. At the moment, the light from my candle is shinning out through that design unobstructed and clear.

I know this much. We cannot carve a new design into our pumpkin for light to shine through. Our true calling ahs always been there. No two pumpkins are exactly alike. If you try to cover up your design you will only get burned. And once you�ve found the true design that your pumpkin bears and use it, your candle will shine brighter than ever before.

This is a metaphor.

But let us pretend for a moment that it is true. Isn�t it a beautiful thought? All of us being big orange pumpkins with our own individual carvings shinning brightly out into the dark night. Every pumpkin is unique in its own way, and all the more beautiful when it shines its light out. I feel I�m beginning to join the ranks of the brightest.
