Sassy is an 8 year old Dartmoor pony mare who lives up to her name 110%! We have learned a lot from each other over the last 4-5 years. She threw me twice the first day I rode her, but it did not stop me and she has not managed to get me off in over 2 years! I've been working on training her english, getting her ready to be a nice show pony for the owner's 8 year old daughter. She's definitely improved a LOT and I think she'll be just fine this summer to show :) I was in my first show on her almost 4 years ago (her first show too! what a learning experience for the both of us) and we only placed in 1 out of 5 classes (6th place in a jumping class) but the following year we did much better, placing in 7 out of the 8 classes we were in and taking home a 2nd, two 3rds, two 4ths, a 5th, and a 6th. As much as I would love to show her again, some people are under the impression that I'm too big for her...:p never!
