Well, looking at my site statistics I see that no one is looking at this anyways so I'm not going to waste my limited free time writing here anymore..if I'm wrong email me or write me a letter

Hello again. I'm still working on getting the pictures on line, not sure when it's gonna happen. We had a fairly relaxing day today. Started out digging holes for fence posts again. We're fencing in more pastures for the ponies..fun work :p. I rode 3 horses again today, that's pretty much been the number every day. The fjords are small but they're tough to ride. I'm having fun but it can be really frustrating at times, like I feel like I'm a beginner again and can't ride for crap. Hopefully by the end of the summer I won't feel that way anymore. Tomorrow Marcy's nice Baer (her real name is Madeline but she likes her last name, Baer..I didn't ask) is letting me ride her fjord pony, Bella. I get to jump her and Baer is even gonna let me take her in a couple jumping classes at a show in July, I'm wicked excited. I'm told the mare can jump over 3'. I don't plan on taking her over 2'6" tomorrow though. I haven't jumped in a while ;) Well it's 11pm and I should get to bed seeing as we get up at 7:30 every morning. I saw the sun rise for a minute this morning, I woke up and looked out one of my windows and saw it coming up over the mountains past some of the horse pastures..can't begin to describe how beautiful it was. goodnight :) June 11, 2003
I'm finally getting around to updating this. It's been a busy week since I got here, so I'll start at the beginning. I arrived Saturday night around 6pm and Marcy and Susan (who live here) were out at a dinner function but Sarah was here. She came out of the barn to greet me and after a brief hello the first thing she says is "Wanna go for a ride?". So needless to say, before I even thought of unpacking my car and settling in and even eating, I found myself digging through my car for my boots, chaps, and helmet...I didn't have to search too hard, I always keep the essentials handy ;) So we went out on a trail ride, I think I rode Bug..I don't even remember, I've been riding so much. So after riding and finishing up in the barn we made dinner and Marcy and Susan came home and we talked for a while and went to bed. The next day is usually a "day off", but there's never a real day off on a horse farm with...a lot of horses (they don't like to count, but I'm estimating around 25 or so...). We got to "sleep in" until 8, but that will be my last Sunday sleeping in. The woman who usually works Sundays and Mondays is not working for the summer so I'm taking over her days which means my wake up time is 6:30..I can't tell you how excited I am..(big sarcasm). So without boring everyone with the details of every day, our days have basically consisted of barn chores and riding. They let us have a lot of breaks, too, I'm not used to getting breaks at home so I guess that's a good thing..more time to eat :) It's a whole different world here. Lots of dirt roads and organic food..they don't have peanut butter but they do have almond butter..apparently there are a variety of butters you can get here. It's actually pretty good though. They drink organic soy milk..i don't. lol but Marcy did insist on buying me organic milk which I don't have a problem with, as long as it's not soy! lol they have organic and soy everything...soy mayonaise..not that i eat mayonaise anyways but wow. The farm is beautiful, I love eating my meals looking out the windows at the mountains..dinner is great with the sunset, that is when we eat while it's still light out. Dinner isn't usually before 7 or 7:30. I took some pictures, I'm hoping to get them on line either later tonight or maybe tomorrow. Hopefully tonight because I have a feeling I won't have time tomorrow. Oh yea! We have a new baby :) A little filly, she was born last Thursday. She doesn't have a name yet but she's sooo cute!! She's really funny, very curious, and loves to run and jump and buck etc. I'm pleased to know that I won't have to waitress this summer at all, I'll be making extra money picking up the 2 days of chores and Marcy also helped me get a teaching job, 2 girls with their own horses. I just put up flyers in town today hoping to get a few more students. So we'll see how it goes. I have to go now to help with the evening chores but hopefully I'll be writing again tonight and putting up pictures. Bye! :)
