Phoenix is a Quarter Horse in his early 20's. He's an ex race horse and was rescued by his current owner when he got in an accident and his old owner was going to put him to sleep because of the amount of care and time needed to bring him back to health. The old owner was trailering him and 5 other horses on the highway when the bottom of the trailer gave out and they were dragged. He has scars all over his body and had to be in his stall for 7 months. He needed bandages on his legs changed twice a day. His current owner's wife is a vet, and she was called to put him to sleep and they didn't have the heart to, so they took him on. Now, with a lot of work and care, he's a great polo horse.
