Past Haunts
Here are some descriptions of Pumpkinhead Production's past Haunts
1999: Our first year. we had a strobe light on the porch and 2 actors; one sitting on a chair acting as a dummy and one under the chair. The scare would usually be the dummy jumping up followed by the actor under the chair,or the actor under the chair grabbing the victims legs followed by the dummy jumping up. It was so simple and so fun.
2000-2001: Basicly the same as 1999 but enclosing the porch and having more props around the yard.
2002: First walk through. We held the haunt at a freinds house and had a small 4-room walk through using pvc and tarp. It was small but we had a lot of fun.
2003: Hell...well sort of. We held a walk through back at our original location. The size was 250% the previous year's. We spent most of our time and Ca$h on the haunt itself and only had enough props for one of 8 large rooms. Thank god for my sister's teacher, who usually runs a large-scale haunt on the other side of town. On halloween morning we received a loan of 2 trucks worth of high-end props. If it wasn't for the torential rain causing a part of the haunt to collapse and the fact that most of the "helpers" were not really helping, it would have turned out all-right. Oh yeah the haunt consisted of a grave yard, alien autopsy, a mummies tomb and a witches lair with assorted bones laying around, we called it Nightmare Castle.
2004: Ravenswood Manor. We had an elaborate yardhaunt without a walk-through. All of this years energy was spent on the constuction of new props and modification of old ones. we built a toepincher coffin and also purchased a handfull of bluckys. We corpsed an old one and decided to corpse the rest for next year. Other plans for next year include a cemetery gate and a possible walk-through.
