Hope's Dreams
Grandmother Moon, it's been far too long,
But at last I again can hear my soul's song.
Looking o'er the lake and upon your face
My future is clearer, I'm on to a new place.
As for love, may I someday 'gain find one true.
Though I wish for it; its as rare as a moon blue.
But myself I found again and begin to thrive
Again becoming happy for each day I am alive.
Wisps of clouds on the horizon, there linger,
But blind me no longer, I emerge a soul-singer.
My whimsical passion once 'gain breaking free
For the world to see that which is truly me.
Playful otter, you've shown me the way
I must remember to greet each new day...
Bright, blazing moon lighting up the night
You helped me find peace, wisdom, insight.
Birds again singing morning song to me
Bringing my day a start full of fresh glee.
Looking out, seeing fish again jumping,
I yearn for a life with passionate loving.
I thank all the world for the gifts that I receive
As day by day, I've come to truly believe.
Friends supported me when I couldn't go on
Well, now I'm back! It's me — no longer gone.
