| NAME: Onyx AGE: He's about 2 years old, give or take a little BREED: He's a Shepherd X Wolf aka a Wolfdog LOOKS: Is a dark, smoky grey with very black hues and the amber eyes of a wolf. Tends to favour his wolf father in looks but his paws are slightly smaller than a wolf's, a trait he carries from his mother. PERSONALITY: Sadly Onyx is as unpredictable as all wolfdogs, he can be calm one moment and the next be displaying very threatening behaviour. He has bitten Silent Wolf more than once. Isn't really Silent Wolf's pet, he's more of a travelling companion and her "pack." As stated before can be capricious and strangers are best to keep their distance. HISTORY: Onyx was born to a Belle, a Shepherd bitch who had crossed with one of the delta males of the local wolf pack. The rancher, seeing the half-bred nature of the pups drowned them all, except for one pup who had crawled under a stack of hay while exploring. When she discovered the loss of the majority of her litter, Belle was devastated and moved her one remaining pup to a safe "den." Thus young pup grew up semi-feral, sometimes acting like a dog, sometimes acting like a wolf. When he was weaned he followed the transient life of male strays, drifting through the wilderness. For some reason best known to himself, the wolfdog chose to attach himself to Silent Wolf and travel with her as a friend and equal. Silent Wolf calls him "Onyx" and the wolfdog accepts this, but Silent Wolf does not dictate his actions, he is a free spirit and does as he chooses. Silent Wolf has more than one scar from him. The elders of the Crow say that Onyx is Silent Wolf's spirit guide and guardian, as his chequered ancestory mirrors her own. Whether this is the case or not is unknown... WARNING: Onyx is extremely dangerous and capricious, you approach him at your own risk. He is not a pet, he is a semi-feral animal and his behaviour can not be predicted. If you get savaged, you have no one to blame but yourself. |
