The supposed illegitimate child of Henry VII born 3 years before the Tudor Dynasty (which lasted 118 years) Brice learned to fight early defending his mother and himself from those who called him a bastard but was sold after his mother died of (plague, sickness, etc). A near drowning incident caused him to fear the depths of water that are not easily found. Bought by (Sire) he was raised as a servant but his ability for fighting (and boldness) led him to become part of his masters group of killers for hire. The final test of the stealthy leader was revealing his true nature and killing, or turning, the subordinate dependant upon their reaction.
Many years passed and many lives were taken, including those of a hunters family who stalked the killers through some years and ended up killing most of the pupils who served (Sire) and finally, (Sire) himself. Those which were left swore revenge and after finding it decided the freedom to do as they pleased was better than returning to the rules and traditions their sire followed but Brice, always being the conscience of the group it seemed, became disillusioned with the power that they had and remembering his childhood did not follow his brothers into the degenerate state of power madness which likely led to their eventual downfall...though he does not know what happened to them.
