Lifeless

Cracked and broken upon the floor
Laying lifeless, a settled score
Life was once the grandest thing
Until I found the best missing

Sliding quiet a blade so true
Letting go of everything I knew
Tears now fall just like a flood
Flowing to my wrists' lost blood

Inside my eyes the blackest hole
Coming from my fading soul
Blackened death done taking shape
Becoming my so fair escape

If I wished for angelic wings
Why should I pray for such trivial things?
I grace the night with my own kiss
Giving my life to this abyss

Life was once the falsest hope
Lead to dreams of cutting the rope
The lies speaking of coming good
Believing what I thought I should

Taking now the blade so true
Opened wrists so through and through
Life was once the grandest thing
Now nothing more am I missing
