This section features albums, artist, anything related to music...in this issue, we'll
take a look at today's most intriguing collaboration. You've heard their piece, it's
up to you to judge them. If you have speakers and I have done my job right, you'll
probably hearing "Like a stone", one of the track in the album.
Music Review
What happens when you put the guy behind the ultrahypnotic vocals
of Soundgarden and the expertise and ass kicking guitarist of Rage
against the machine? The result: a new and recharged band collectively
known as Audioslave! Hmmm... with this formula what could go wrong
right?! Wrong!!
When i first learned about this band rehash i quickly
thought of one thing: this is an either make it or break it kind
of deal. Why? Because fans of Soundgraden and RATM still expect
their beloved bands' distinct sound and with Audioslave... well
let's just say they'll be needing new groupies.. hehe. The thing
is, they both want to stay out of their bands shadows but they just
can't! They're known now because of who they were with before so
they can't just expect people to automatically like their new sound,
they have to earn it.
So did they?! Well Audioslave's self titled
album consists of 14 tracks and i must say, they have a bitchin'l
first single, "Cochise" with a pretty cool video too, whereas we
see these old time rockers do their own thang with matching fireworks
pa! Show me how to live is also a pretty good song and it's nice
to hear it in the airwaves (better than taiwanese boybands i always
say!) although i got really sick when Like a Stone got overplayed
i mean puh-leeze! It started to be really irritating. Set it Off,
Shadow on the Sun, and Exploder was also good with great guitar
riffs courtesy of Mr. Morello of course! All in all, the album is
a pretty good one with a few techno riffs here and there, trying
to catch up with the modern technology i guess. Let's just hope
there's no break ups this time but for now, rock on!
