About Puliyannoor Temple

Puliyannoor Mahadeva Temple is a Shiva Temple situated in Puliyannoor, a serene village near Pala. Geographically it is in Mutholi Panchayat, Meenachil Taluk, Kottayam dist., Kerala state, India.

It is very well known as "Cheruthil Valuthu Puliyannoor"

The temple is currently managed by joint Nampoothiri families known as "Puliyannoor Oorayma Temple Devaswam"

[Kanickamandapam] The temple is about 500 metres from the Ettumanoor-Poonjar state highway. It's quite proximity with Kadappattoor, a pilgrim centre where lakhs of devotees flock during the ' Sabarimala Mandala' season, is notable.

The small yet compact temple complex radiates Puliyannoorappan's presence. The temple attracts devotees from all around Central Travancore.

Every year 'Utsavam' or main festival is held during the 'Kumbam' month (February - March). It is a 8 day long festival. Also there are special pujas during Vishu, Navarathri, Mandala masam etc.
