Who can be a ranger? you can - just as long as your over 13½ (or you're in year 9) and haven't turned 19 yet. Even if you haven't belonged to Guides NZ before as a pippin, brownie, or guide - no problem there is still a place for you at rangers.
Guides range in age from about 10 to somewhere bewteen 13½ and 14½. Their units are divided into patrols and they elect their own patrol leaders.
Brownies are aged from seven to between 9½ or 10½. Brownie units are organised into groups called sixes, with older girls being the sixer (leader) and seconder (assistant leader) in each six.
Pippins start at the age of five, and are our youngest members. Their groups have an unstructured programme. You'll find their families are encouraged to be involved in the things that they do.
