Elaine and I have been friends since 1984. We have gone through many different life-changing events together and have watched each other grow up into the fine young women who we are today;-) Elaine and I are a bit opposite of each other. She is very goal-oriented and driven, while I am more laid-back and lacking that kind of ambition. She is very indecisive, while I am a straight to the point, bottom-line kind of gal. Though we do not always understand each other, the great thing about our friendship is we have always been able to laugh at our differences or constructively debate them. We have managed to remain the best of friends throughout the years..

Elaine and I have taken many a vacation together. We have been to Arizona, Mexico, Jamaica, the Hamptons, California, Vermont, and numerous weekend roadtrips, concerts, etc. etc. Elaine recently got married to Lyle and they just had an adorable baby girl Madison on February 13th 2003. I look forward to watching Madison grow and change and learn...and hopefully to one day let her parents get some sleep!! I once wrote a poem for Elaine called The Gift, because that is how I have always viewed our friendship, as a gift. My nickname for Elaine is: MSG - My Special Girl She is a Pisces
These pictures were taken many moons ago on our vacation in the Hamptons. Elaine's mother had a summer house there that we got to use. We went to all the clubs searching for the Ramones. I don't think we ever found them - we had a great time anyway. Check out our big 80's hair!!!!!
Here we are at the Grand Canyon. It was November and very cold! You can't tell from this picture but there was snow on the ground! We drove from Phoenix to Flagstaff and all the way down to Tuscon. We got to see a lot of Arizona and No Gales, Mexico. We spent time with Brenda who lives out there.
This picture was taken in July 2000 when I flew out to California to visit with Elaine where she was stationed in Monterey at the Defense Language Institute. Here we are in Elaine's jeep about to set out for the 17 mile drive up the Pacific Coast near Pebble Beach. During my stay there, I got to see Cannery Row, San Jose, San Francisco, Haight Ashbury (of course), and we ate sushi in Sausalito.
