In 2001 I took my 2 boys, Jordan and Eric, to an Easter Egg hunt and instantly fell in love with a cute little Pug puppy that was there with it's owner. After researching the breed for 2 years and obtaining as much information as I could, I found a breeder in Oregon. I knew exactly what I wanted - a female fawn Pug. The breeder, Nancy, kept in touch with me during her Pug's (Mowglee) entire pregnancy. I received an email at work informing me that Mowg was in labor. By the time I got home she hadn't had the pups yet and we were on pins and needles. Mowglee had an emergency c-section and delived 2 precious healthy little BOYS.
Upon receiveing the email from Nancy apologizing for not having any boys, I immediately emailed her back to ask if I could have one. She had one person ahead of me on the list who had wanted a boy. After 9:00 p.m. the phone rang and it was Nancy. She wanted to personally tell me that one of the boys were mine! After a few days she started to call them 'Chunky Monkey' and 'Chunky Monkey Me' because they were chunky little things. We faithfully drove 6 hours (round trip) to visit the 2 little chunky monkeys every other week. At 6 weeks old we discovered which one our little Meeko was.
Meeko came home on March 26, 2003. Nancy and her family drove him to our house. He walked through our door and took over. He has trained me well and has his paw wrapped around my heart. I am Forever Pugged by Meeko. If you own a Pug, you already know exactly what I'm talking about. If you are considering obtaining a Pug, your heart will melt and you will instantly fall in love. I hope you enjoy Meeko's website. Mindy |
