I've liked the Chihuahua breed since I was in the 2nd grade. Sometime in April 2004 a cute little cream colored Chihuahua walked past our house and Meeko was in awe with her. I pulled up in front of the house after work and as I opened the gate to go inside the yard, Meeko was going ballistic over this tiny thing. The lady who had her asked if they could be introduced so I grabbed Meeko's leash and took him ouside the fence. She instantly rolled over on her back in a submissive position and he wagged his tail and talked to her the entire time. I researched the breed a bit and put my search on hold for the time being as I already had Meeko, Piper and Cheyenne.
Jazmin came home with us on June 12th 2004 from Gloryland Kennel in Clear Lake, WA. She came into my life after my 10 1/2 year old Wolf Hybrid Cheyenne passed away. When that time came, my husband Jay
was very supportive and had mentioned to me that he wanted me to be able to get another dog. I explained to him that I wasn't sure if I wanted another one
because of all the hurt that is involved in the end. He reminded me of all the years Cheyenne was with me and how much the Pugs have helped comfort me during my depression. He's been there for me for many things that I've been through in the past couple years. So it was Jay's initial idea to get me a Chihuahua but was me who actually looked for a breeder and all the stuff that goes along with
that. Between Meeko, Piper, Jazzy and Jay my heart was soon on the mend, but Cheyenne will never be forgotten.. |
