Club History:
Founded in 1969 by Gerald and Barabara Gaines together with several other families. The first Specialty Show was presented in 1972. The club has grown in  both membership and skill in holding AKC Events. We hosted the Doberman Pinscher Club of America National Specialty Show in 1981. The PSDPC and its members assisted in the early development of the Working Aptitude Evaluation (WAE). We help Doberman Pinscher fanciers from all over Northwest and Canada to receive their Working Aptitude Certificates (WAC) by holding a well attended WAE approximately every other year. We have held AKC Tracking Trials and typically have good participation in our Obedience Trials. We started having 2 Specialty Shows each year in 1993, currently in conjunction with Peninsula Dog Fanciers Club in March and Olympic Kennel Club in August (see events page). We are a progressive and active club we were the first DPCA Chapter club to host both a Judges Education Seminar and an Exhibitors Education Seminar in conjunction with our specialty shows. We have sponsored several Breeders Rap Sessions and hope they will become a tradition. All of us take great pride in the fact that we have Doberman Pinschers as our pets.
