Vehicle Upgrades



Crystal Targetting Matrix


Pros: Allows you to fire before you stop moving, allowing you to stay hiding in the enemy's turn for the entire game!
Cons: expensive, to use it to it's full effectiveness, you must hide the whole game.
Comments: Too expensive to be given to every vehicle; i wuldn't waste it on Vypers... I'd probably use it only on Fire Prisms.


Holo-field


Pros: Reduces the chance of suffering major damage.
Cons: Not being WYSIWYG, I almost always forget they are there, they cause quite a few arguements dealing with the "roll 2 dice for Ordnance" rule...
Comments: Very good upgrade, give it to every vehicle.


Scythes


Pros: Normally vehicles cant fight back...
Cons: First they have to assault you, then roll a 1 to hit. then they get a save.
Comments: There's a very large chance of nothing happening at all, but if you have 10 points to get rid of... Just make sure you give it to a vehicle that gets usually assaulted.


Spirit Stone


Pros: Let's you negate Crew Shaken and Crew Stunned results.
Cons: But only on a 4+, and a 6 (respectively)
Comments: Very good upgrade; if you get stuck out in the open, this might just save your 210pt Falcon from certain destruction.


Star Engines


Pros: Very good for getting transported troops in & out quickly; or getting Fire Prisms out of harms way.
Cons: Can't shoot if you use it.
Comments: A must-have for Wave Serpents, not so much for Falcons, no real purpose for Fire Prisms (except for running).


Vectored Engines


Pros: Makes vehicle less likely to crash due to difficult terrain.
Cons: Who ends their movement difficult terrain?
Comments: Not very important, if you have a lot of terrain on the table and you have no real choice but to get stuck in it eventually, take it. Otherwise, no.
