CATERPILLAR D7
When I developed the model of the D7, the real one mainly sat in our yard at the base of a small forest we have.  Since we did not use it much, we thought of selling it.

However, nothing this big gets sold around here, but it did spur my interest into the D7 one more.

I had just finished asembling two battlemechs from Primus's LEGOMechcommander (Now BRICKCommander) and seeing how well MLcad worked for the 'mechs, I thought I could try making a model on MLCad.
To the right, you can see the first model I made.  The technique I used was I built the trackframes, spaced them apart, and built the main body right between.  However, I did not like the result.

I abandoned building on the D7 for a few months, as I felt I did not know how to build the D7 right.

After a bit more lego research (And a computer crash to help me update my MLcad file)  I felt I could give another shot at building.
I thought if I wanted a bulldozer, I would build it like a bulldozer.  Again, I built the trackframes, adding a few details to them such as a rear sprocket cover and gearbox and a spring cover (The spring adjusts the tracks on the real model)

Then, I built the main model separatly, before I added the trackframes to it

This was the result. Compare this to Model no.1 and you can see the difference.  I changed the front so it is rounded and added a "hydralic" resivor from the real model.
After the success of the tractor, I wanted to add the canopy and the blade
(A bulldozer just ain't a bulldozer without a blade!)

The canopy was simple.  a few bricks here and there, and some technic rods 'n parts and that was done,  But the blade was the trickiest.  I still think it needs a little more work to hold togeter.

Aside from that, It looks pretty good :-)
In summery, this model was one of the best models I've developed in my hobby of lego.  While it is lacking a few details, I thinks it's nothing a few decals would fix.
