Book
Author (Last name first). Title. Place: Publisher,Year.
Example:
Levine, Mark L. and Rachlis, Eugene. The Complete Book of Bible Quotations. New York: Pocket Books, 1986.

Article from a book that contains articles or chapters by different authors
Author of the article. "Title of the Article." Title of the Book. Place: Publisher, Year. Page numbers.
Example:
Smith, Richard Norton. "George Washington." Booknotes: Life Stories: Notable Biographers on the People Who Shaped America. New York: Random House, 1999. 3-8.

Encyclopedia article
Author of the article (if listed). "Title of the Article." Title of the Encyclopedia. Place: Publisher, Year.
Example:
Capps, Walter Holden. "Religion." The World Book Encyclopedia. Chicago: World Book, 1997.

Magazine Article (from a print copy of the magazine)
Author of the article (if listed). "Title of the Article." Title of the Magazine date or number: Page numbers.
Example:
Marsa, Linda. "Painless Drilling: the Brave New World of Dentistry." Biography Apr. 2001: 72-75 & 114.

Article from a subscription database
Author of the article (if given). "Title of the Article." Title of the Magazine, Newspaper or Book. Date or Volume and Issue Number. Name of the Database. Name and city of the subscribing library. Date of Access. <URL>. (Notes: Use the URL of the homepage, not of the article. Even if you access the material at home or at another library, you still need to provide the name and city of the subscribing library.)
Example:
Gutman, Roy. "Waiting for His Moment". Newsweek International. 23 Apr. 2001. Infotrac. Pueblo High Magnet School, Cajero Library, Tucson, AZ. 26 Apr. 2001. <http://www.galenet.com>.

Article from a magazine or newspaper on the Web
Author (if given). "Title." Date of the article. Name of the Site. Date of access. <URL>. (Note: Use the URL of the homepage, not of the article.)
Example:
