The Dreamer In Silence

In all daydreams, in all my sorrows
I have been known to be silent
Amidst the cries, among the ruins
I have many times cried alone

A gift I bare, a burden to carry
I keep myself in the shadows
Awake in the darkness, asleep in the light
My night is only my morning

A death I have pardoned, a life I have endured
I have not asked for either
A gentle kiss, a tender breath
My lips shall speak no more
