WHL (Jr) Pucks

The CMJHL was formed in 1966 out of the teams that made up the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. It changed it's name to the WCHL in 1967 as part of a settling of differences with the CAHA. The league finally gained acceptance as the premier junior league in Western Canada in 1970. The league was renamed the WHL in 1978 as the league expanded beyond the Canadian border.
