I just recently watched Bowling for Columbine too. The thing that really pissed me off about that whole thing is that the system worked. What system? Well the system that's in place in most schools that allows a group people to mentally destroy another person and get away with it.

In Jr. High and High school I was on the receiving end of a lot of the same crap, and when I did fight back, I would get in trouble while the other people, the ones who started it, would get off scott-free. When Columbine happened, the school blamed the parents and games, Parents blamed the school and games and the media blamed everyone but themselves.

The person who spoke the most truth in that whole documentary was Marilyn Manson. When asked what he would say to the students of Columbine he said, "I wouldn't say anything. I would listen to them. That's something no one else did."

This topic always strikes a cord deep within me, because I was probably just a stones throw away from doing a similar thing. But the difference was that I had a really good up bringing and my parents acutely listened to me. Every time I hear someone blame someone else for young people being violent I want to yell and scream.
