| Can Review 5 I have found the amber nectar, heaven is now on earth, the moon, sun and Jupiter have shone brightly all at the same time, the shroud of Turin has come alive, but nothing compares to this magical find by myself of such a cheap lager and at such a high percentage. After last weeks disgraceful drunken escapades in Brussels, I find myself reviewing another quality lager and this I feel is my new lager forever, until I move onto somewhere where Jupiler flows like water. I purchased a crate of this in Aldi, which is adjcent to the Ilac Centre in Dublin (for those foreigner red-necks) and to my astonishement the filthy skank bird charged me 20 for a crate of 5.5% lager. I thought, there must be something dodgy after all it says on the side of the cylinder "Made with the Finest Ingredients"..umm ingriedents of what exactly. I was so excited and with all the anticipation I could not wait, so I cracked open a can on the bus, I was alone and as the usual N4 traffic built up, I settled into the seat and into the can and I was quite thirsty. On initial taste, I thought it was abit harsh, but did have a fine lager like taste as it should be. A slight bit of a kickback, which was pleasent and even the warm end of the can was nice. I awaited until the can was cold to give a proper review. On proper Can review section of Pub Spy, I cracked open the below average temperatured can of alcohol and i tilted it to its standard isometric angle of 45 degress to sink the cold crisp brown colourd liquid into my mouth, I swirled, and then I noted with my usual pen and paper. This got the thumbs up already and it tasted initially like Tennents lager, but with much of a richer taste. It was not sparkling nor it was not as dead as the Dalymount, t was just right and after 7 of these, I could feel the harsh effects as opposed to drinking 6 Dutchy. This lager although can only be got in Aldi, it gets a 6 out of 5 for value and quality, but fails miserably on the availabilty terms. You shall be seeing myself drinking this high quality lager in the stands and on the buses to away games (and home) this season. A worthwhile reccomendation.
