Royal Dutch
This week I will be reviewing one of Hollands prime beers, only found (in my experience) in can form. In its distinct green cylinder which striking red writing, one could almost mistake it for a faded heiniken can, though this beer is only for veterns of Dutch beer drinking. Can be found in many offlicences, but often is out of stock as it is not one of the more popular beers. Hopefully with this review it will steer hardened drinkers towards drinking Royal Dutch on a more regular basis.

At first sip, it appears rather strong, and if in a warm can, it generally is not nice, but this can be overcome, by gulping down the first mouthful and the rest is just pure bliss. As it is a higher percentage beer than mos tother beers which are 4.1-4.5%, this beer is a premium beer at 5%.

Price is another factor in choosing this beer. At first preference it may seem a little pricey on comparison to its brother Dutch Gold, but at a general price of 1.39 this is a sure fire hit with its great taste, strong alcohol percentage and cheap price.

I would consider this to be my favourite beer, and I feel it is a pity that it has not made the grade up to be on tap. Even my excursion to Holland I could not find it on tap. I find this hard to get in my local Cheers and Tesco so a trip to the village to find it out of stock does not impress me.

Here are the ratings:

Value:

Quality:

Taste: 5

Overall Mark: 5*

*I have given it a 5 star, due to all of its factors, although can be hard to find/out of stock, it definately gets the thumbs up as the perfect companion on an away trip.
