| Can Review 6: This weeks review shall be another fine Dutch beer, yet again this is a well known 'cheap' beer and has been at the top for many a year, although it did have a decline in and around the 2000 era, but due to consumer demand and pressure from its supporters, Bavaria is now back and is currently being chilled awaiting to be drank at an off-licence near you. On first notice of this can, I got a 'sick' feeling while viewing its appeareance, a light blue Fosters like colour with a cheap looking red/gold band at the top, but I must say after the initial taste test, I did not give a bollix about the colour. I opened the can and I was slightly off put by the smell, but on first gulp of the light brown alcoholic fluid I must say I was intreged by its' taste when in contrast to the colour of the can. It did not have the usual bubbly and fizzy taste that usual Dutch beers contain, it was a slightly flat taste, but it went down well but I felt that it did leave a dryish taste in my mouth afterwards, commonly known as an after taste. At the penultimate gulp, the taste was still as fine as it was when i took the first sup and this goes to show what a quality lager this really is. I consumed a further 6 cans of this quality lager and it again got the thumbs up from the Official can review section of Pub Spy. This brand can be found in most major offlicences and ranges from 4.3% to 5% in alcohol composition. The blue can is the former and the green can the latter.
