How to Change the Session Time-out?

1. Start WAS Admin Console.
2. Navigate to HOSTNODE->WebSphere Portal Server->WPS Servlet Engine->Session Manager
3. On the right pane, click the Intervals tab
4. Change the session timeout in the Invalidate Time field

 

Where can I find free RSS sources for the RSS portlet?

Introduction

You can find RSS news feed from the listed sites below. You need the URL of the news feed in order to configure it into your RSS portlet. To find the URL, visit the sites listed below. Then navigate to the news source page and look out for on the XML or RSS icon found in the listed websites. Click on it and read the URL off your browser’s address bar when the RSS loads. Note that most of the listed websites do not allow their news feed content to be displayed separately in WPS (don’t know why they provide RSS feeds in the first place), so be careful to read the T&C before using these feeds for production purposes.
