Jerry graduated from Port Wing and attended University of Wisconsin at Superior. He received his Masters in Physics and Chemistryand taught High School for 27 years in Alaska and retired in 1997 to run a sawmill and construction business with wife, Leslie. See www.whitespruce.com. Jerry married Marit Vick, from Rice Lake Wisconsin, in 1965 and had two children - Olaf Peter (23) and Kari Ingrid (26). Jerry and Marit moved to Alaska in 1968 where he ran sled dogs, built log cabins, ran a halibut and salmon charter boat business,and taught school.
Jerry and Leslie were married in 1995. She has three boys - Lucas Andrew (22), Timothy Ryan (20), and Patrick Thomas (20) identical twins.
Leslie Peterson Dolan Gustafson was born December 25, 1955 in Bremerton, Washington. She attend Washington State University for a Business degree and University of Alaska for a master's in teaching. Married to Tom Dolan, she moved to Alaska in 1975. She taught 20 years business and computers at North Pole, Alaska and is currently running the business with Jerry.
They visited Sweden in January of 2000 with the Gustafson family tree in hand. There they found small towns and churchyards where the family was buried in Sweden. They will return in January 2001. Daughter Kari is living in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Jerry and Leslie will be traveling from Alaska to attend the reunion! Daughter, Kari, will be coming from Copenhagen, Denmark, and son Olaf, will be coming between trips to his job at Prudhoe Bay.

Kari is currently living in Denmark. She is a fluent Danish speaker and writer and is currently pursuing a degree in Danish Education.

Olaf just finished his heavy-duty mechanics apprenticeship through the Operator's Union in Alaska. He works in the oil fields support industry in Alaska as a mechanic.

Lucas attends the Art Institute of Seattle and is in the Industrial Prototype Design Program. He lives in a wonderful, large house on Queen Ann Hill with his brothers & various others.

Tim attends the Art Institute of Seattle and is in the Audio Production field. He will work with groups to put on concerts.

Patrick attended the Roberto-Venn School of Luthier. He is a guitar and instrument maker. He loves to work with a variety of beautiful wood. He has his own shop and also works for a business that repairs ampliphiers, organs, and other instruments.
