Note:-This paper consists of Three Sections. Section A is Compulsory. Do any Four Questions from Section B
and any two questions from Section C.

Section-A        Marks:20

1.(a)Convert decimal number 94.006 to Binary.
 (b)Explain B.C.D.
 (c)Define State Equations.
 (d)What is RAM?
 (e)State Propagation Delay.
 (f)Explain Quantization.
 (g)What is state diagram?
 (h)Differentiate between Synchronous and Asynchronous working of counters.
 (i)What is don't care condition?
 (j)Explain fan-out.

Section-B        Marks: 5 Each


2. Simply using Karnaugh-map the boolean function:
f(x,y,z)=∑(0,3,5,7,9) + ∑φ(2,8)
3. Analyse the principle of working of RS and JK Flip-flop.
4. Draw the Logic circuit of a controlled Buffer Register and explain its working.
5. Explain how data is organised in memory. Explain working of RAM.
6. Realize OR, NOT and NAND gates with DIODES and Rsristors.

Section-C        Marks: 10 Each

7. (a) Draw circuit diagram of TTL-NOR gate and explain its working .Discuss input-output characteristics.
    (b) Compare the relative merits of ECL, TTL and DTL Logic gates.
8. Explain with suitable diagram the R-2R Ladder D/A convertor operation.
9. (a) Design a module-8 counter -Using J-K Flip-flop.
    (b) Draw and discuss successive approximation type A/D convertor.
