WELCOME ALL PTRP FROM FORT LEONARD WOOD, FORT JACKSON, FORT KNOX, FORT SILL SOLDIERS
The PTRP webpage was takeing donations to send "Care Packages" over seas but I have found that it's easyer for me and every body else to send to support sites that do this better then I can, tho I feel bad that I can't really do this anymore I have been spending more then I can to do this. You think places like UPS would offer discounts to mail this stuff!
SPECIAL Thanks to the people who have given to the PTRP page for our troops:
Sherri Kavelish,

HERO
Webster's Dictionary says "person of courage and accomplishmet." What do you think of when you here that word, dew to the last years you may think of a fireman, or the police, and the miltary, but I would like to tell you about other people that you may have never heard about or ever thought of, I'm talking about the men and woman of the armed forces. Now your saying well I think of them also as Heros also, but what about the ones that are in training, the ones that never made it out of Basic training or AIT dew to an injury, people who gave it all and ended up with an injury that will be with them the rest of their lives, and it should not be forgotten that the current soldiers going into the Army, and ending up in PTRP in a time of WAR are answering the call and ending up hurt without going to WAR. Ask yourself, how many people do you know that have broken their pelvis in half that are under the age of 25? Or how about ACL damage, stress fractures, broken arms and legs, or even broken backs? Or in my case RSD or nerve damage.
These Men and Women, who did get hurt were sent to what is called PTRP, most of them don't make it back to training. I seen about 20% make it back to training, the other 80% were sent home, not really right away, when they left PTRP they were sent to Bravo Hold, this is also where you will find the people who refused to train or were nut cases, not only were these soldiers hurt physicaly but were then put out in a place of "dishonor". I have seen people in the last two weeks of Basic "After all that Training" get sent home.
In This web page you will be able to read the stories of people who were there, You will also find information of what to do if you end up being discharged for the military with an injury and what to expect. I also have put in here a section for all PTRP nation wide to find old friends, and make new ones.
When I made this web-page I never thought I would get letters from people asking for help, infact I get letters from not only people who had been in PTRP but also Mothers and fathers and Wifes and Husbands that have somebody they love in PTRP, and feel helpless after getting letters and phone calls from the soldier that has been hurt.
I joined the ARMY because I belive it is/was my calling, to me it was the greatest honor to be apart of the best Army/military group on Earth , and I still feel the same way even with what has happened, if it was not for my CO and other pick SSGTs and my battle buddies I would have surely had I different story to tell or no story to be written. I have a deep story in all of this, and someday I hope to put it in a book, my life in the Army seeing AWOLs and people killing themselfs. The people who end up spending time in PTRP will never be the same.
THIS IS NOT AN ARMY BASHING WEBPAGE
Those of you who want to tell your story do so, but I will not allow full names of current Soldier added any way to this page, by the Army or PS!
PTRP as changed, alot of the stuff that was done is no longer done, I get letters from soldier in PTRP all over America and it has changed for the good well mostly, however getting a good doctor has not really changed, and the lack of even a day 1 PVT's resepct by the PTRP DRILLS (some of them) is lost and a large amount of non military training hate is pressed on the Soldier making the soldier loose his/her military bearing. In short if you don't have a cast on you someplace your thought to be a lier. I know liers are in PTRP however the shame placed on the innocent soldier in a "Broken" state can be more damaging then they think. What must be remembered is that a PTRP SGT is not a doctor, and in some cases the Military Doctors are not allways correct, and with full access to PVT med files by the PTRP SGTs some bad conclusions can be made. Case in point I knew many PVT who went home on exodus only to find out from a DOCTOR WHO CAN BE SUED, and found broken bones, torn everything missed by the Military Doctors. What makes this even more sick is that those Civi Doctor findings don't do ANYTHING for you in the Military.
Blame can be placed on anybody, from that over worked SGT to the lack of know how on the Doctors, and even the PVT just being unsoldierly.
I would like to say to the many, many PTRP SGTs that do read this page that I am a fair man, I have seen some bad things done, and I take no sides unless told things like I talked about never happened. I do know that some people get "Bent" and put unfair things here, but I employ your to add to this page with your end, as I see for myself this page looks more a hate page then a resource/Battle Bud Finder webpage as it started as.
Just so you know I will be adding pictures of X PTRP soldiers who made it.
