| I am Not a Perfectionist | Meet My Sister | Meet My Cat | Meet My Students |
I am not a perfectionist because I believe that perfection does not exist. If perfection did exist, that would be boring because perfection would then represent a limit above which no one could reach. I am always challenging myself to reach higher and try harder. I never want to come to a stopping point; I want to keep on reaching and trying. Therefore, I am not a perfectionist;I am not a perfectionist!
At right: Me at an end of the semester social for the Alpha Chi Mu chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, which is an honor society for two-year college students.
This is my sister, Karen; her husband, Michael; and their kids, Dustyn and Kristina. Karen is three years younger than me. She and her husband were living with me at the time when Dustyn was born, and I had the privilege of watching him make his entrance into the world. I have yet to meet Kristina, as they live in another state, and I have only seen her in pictures.
This is my cat, Nala (named after one of the characters in Disney's "The Lion King"). She is a little less than a year old and she is a rascal. She would rather play with pony tail holders and cardboard boxes than cat toys. She wakes me up at night by scratching on my room door to be let in and then a few minutes later she scratches on my door to be let out again; she does this several times in a row. But she's so funny!
At my church I teach in a program called "Missionettes". This is a Wednesday night program for girls and also for three- and four-year-old boys. The age groups are divided into different clubs. The club that I teach is called "Stars". The girls pictured at the right are Brittany, Laura, and Lisa. They have worked very hard to earn their badges and I am very proud of them.
