| Peters Township Jr. Football Investigating Options |
| The Peters Township school district has approved the creation of a seventh grade football team within the Middle School program. This was a move promoted and supported by the rec league. MORE ... As a result of this decision, the PTJFA will be realigning it's teams so as not to compete with any school teams. The Board and membership is currently investigating options. One option would be to participate in the Route 19 League along with the younger players of the township. Talk of team realignment within the Route 19 organization could prove beneficial to PT youth. The creation of strictly 12 year old teams would allow our players to compete within their age bracket. In the past, Route 19 teams were comprised of 12 & 13 year old players. This poses a problem for the rec league since it would put a 12 year old PT team opposing teams fielding both 12 & 13 year old youth. Previously 5th, 6th and 7th graders have played for an in-house program; with some 10 & 11 year olds opting to play on Route 19 league teams. | A Football Camp for youth ages 8-14 will be held on the PTHS football field from June 24th-28th. The camp is being run by Coach Keith Hartbauer and his assistants; Mark Arnold, Nick Milchovich, Scott Shaw and Ray Dami. The cost is $85.00 if pre-registered and $95.00 for on-site registration and includes a t-shirt. 11-14 year old camp will run from 8:30-12:00 and 8-10 year old camp will be held 1:00-4:00.
