Alternative assessment is the one of the essential parts of our English curriculum.   This presents us all with a challenge to understand this new way of evaluation.  We have to be clear about our goals and objectives before assigning projects.  We must be able  to clearly state our criteria for sucess and present the students with assessment tools that will help them.
Our lesson on April 11th will have the following components:


Israeli English Curriculum -
Domains and Benchmarks
Technology
Task for teachers
Tasks for students

Access to Information - extract and integrate information from different sources for a specific purpose

Presentation - react to the content of something read; express ideas and opinions 
 

POWERPOINT and WORD Assess  projects by students in PowerPoint:

 

Using PowerPoint for projects and WORD for assessment

Social Interaction - intereact for purposes such as agreeing and disagreeing; engage in longer conversations

Access to Information - extract and integrate information 
 

Internet resources for assesment View and discuss Understanding Rubrics Work with an online article to better understand concepts presented in class

**More will be given time to work on the lesson plan for use in your class at school.
As usual we will also hear presentations of lessons created.

Advanced students should be working in HTML, not in WORD!
