BIO - Biography

Emma Kate Lahana was born on June 27, 1984 in Auckland, New Zealand. She began ballet lessons when she was 3 years old. She has explord many other art forms including violin, acting, musical theatre, and dance. Emma has performed numerous roles for Artist International, North Shore Operatic Society, and Howick Operatic Society.

Her stage and music credits are impressive. In June of 1999 she performed as a member of the Leonessa Chamber Choir at the Sydney Opera House for the International Music Festival. The Leonessa Chamber Choir took home silver medals that year. Later in November, she narrated Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Bruce Mason Theatre in Takapuna. In August of 2000, Emma was a female lead and soloist as the Head Dance Captain in New York, New York - A Broadway Review at the Sky City Theatre. Then in November she landed the lead role of Wendy Darling in Auckland's Aotea Centre's production of Peter Pan. She was also the choreographer for this show. A year passed and Emma landed another major role. In June of 2001, she choreographed and starred as Anna in The King and I at the Aotea Centre in Auckland and at the Founders Theatre in Hamilton. Following that in November she got the role of "Hot Box Girl" in a production of Guys and Dolls at the Pumphouse Theatre in Takapuna. In the same month, she again choreographed and starred as Mary Jane in Big River at the Aotea Centre in Auckland. In September of 2002, Emma captured the lead role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at the Harlequin Theatre in Howick. Her last onstage appearance was performing and recording with the Source Musical Theatre in their production of Jesus With the Light On.

In the year 2000, she had a year-long role on the popular New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street. In 2002, she starred in the Disney motion picture You Wish. For January and February of 2003, she filmed a guest starring role in the New Zealand drama series Street Legal. Currently, Emma can be seen in Power Rangers Dino Thunder as the Yellow Ranger.

Along with being a talented actress, Emma is a singer, songwriter, and guitar player. After filming Power Rangers Dino Thunder, Emma moved to an apartment in Los Angeles, CA to launch her music career. She is currently recording her debut album which does not have a solid release date or title as of yet.
