Pretoria Sailing Club

ACCESS TO THE CLUB

For security purposes, Pretoria Sailing Club has two access control systems.

The first is the Pretoria City Council access gate.

The second system is a motorised gate, for which club members have access codes.

All this makes it difficult for prospective new members to visit the club.

However, access can be arranged, preferably beforehand, so that visitors can be admitted.

To arrange to visit the club, please phone Lindsay Scott - (012) 348 0621 or 083 291 5311

If you arrive at the club on a Saturday afternoon or on a Sunday and encounter difficulty in gaining access, telephone the club house on (012) 345 3576 and ask to speak to a committee member.

Unfortunately the current crime situation has necessitated the above security measures.

We welcome anyone who may be interested in taking up the sport of Sailing. Please do not let any difficulty in gaining access deter you from visiting PSC. It should be mentioned, however, that Pretoria City Council regulations do not permit the use of sailboards on Rietvlei Dam. Pretoria Sailing Club also does not cater for catamarans, as dinghies and catamarans have difficulty sharing the same small piece of water. Shore area also is inadequate for catamarans. We advise those wishing to sail catamarans to visit The Catamaran Club (TCC) on Bronkhorstsruit Dam. (tel. 013 932 2417 - Fanie Fouche)
