I let a gentle tear fall,
Maybe a few
As the scattered
Filaments of my heart
Crowd together
At the mere thought of you.
I read your words
And they touch me,
As your words have
So many times before
Healing slowly,
This mummified core
Of a long dead heart
Sworn to love no more.
Silently, I wonder
What is it you see?
That keeps you here
Making you love me.
Thinking of you
As the days go by
Filled with a love
In which I can always confide.
Gentle Tear
